Tips On How Not To Get Flamed

The Forum has always had a bad reputation when it comes to being flamed for asking a question, this is something we are always trying to correct but there are steps you can take to avoid it happening to you.

There are a variety of reasons that can lead to a good roasting so we have added the following guide for both new and old members alike.

  • Tip One Not every topic belongs in General Chat

  • Tip Two If you are new to the Forum, take time to browse ALL boards before posting, you will get a much better idea of where you should be posting.

  • Tip Three Use the search buttons provided. There is a general search button located in the top right hand corner of every page on the Forum and a board specific one located at the top left of every board on the Forum, use them, you will be amazed at their knowledge.

  • Tip Four Take time to read the thread you are about to comment on before jumping in feet first with a flame of your own.

  • Tip Five Treat every member as you would like to be treated yourself, we all come from different back grounds and are all trying to make a go of this. One day it might be you that needs to ask a question. How would you feel?

  • Tip Six If you spam the Forum with a business posting not authorised by the Administrators, expect to be heavily flamed for your actions, and that’s before you are issued with a Warning from the Administrators! Be warned and think about whether your post is in contravention of the Forum Rules before going ahead and pressing Submit
